Author Guidelines

Revue Française d'Histoire du Livre welcomes original scholarly contributions that advance research in the history of the book, publishing, printing, libraries, manuscripts, reading practices, bibliography, and related fields. Interdisciplinary studies that engage with cultural, social, intellectual, or material aspects of the written word are also encouraged. Submitted manuscripts must present original research, critical analyses, or significant reviews of existing scholarship and should not be under consideration by another publication at the time of submission.

Manuscripts should be prepared in clear, scholarly language and structured appropriately for academic publication. Authors are encouraged to include a concise title, an informative abstract, and relevant keywords to facilitate indexing and discoverability. The main text should be logically organized with clearly identified sections where appropriate. All quotations, references, figures, tables, and supplementary materials should be accurately cited and clearly presented.

References should be complete, consistent, and formatted according to the journal's preferred citation style. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all citations and bibliographic information. Submissions are evaluated through the journal's editorial assessment and peer-review process.
